SAM OLSON

//

Sam Olson began his classical training on upright bass in 2006 in Sun Prairie, WI. Early on he was fascinated with jazz, and as his concept of the music deepened in jazz ensembles and summer camps, so did his affinity for performing. After completing his studies at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in classical & jazz bass, as well as computer science, Sam's auditions to several talent agencies granted him opportunities to perform worldwide in Hawai'i, New Zealand, Australia, and elsewhere. He's performed with rock bands, jazz orchestras, show bands, pit orchestras, worship bands, chamber ensembles, and countless small jazz groups. Sam has shared the stage with several giants like Doc Severinsen, Jimmy Heath, and Stefon Harris, but nothing has brought him more excitement than discovering new music with Kelsey.
